Explaining this further, Hrithik Roshan said, ‘Till that time my father did not earn enough money to buy a house, we shifted to another house on rent. We used to sleep on the mattresses. Slowly the furniture came.
Hrithik said that when he was nine years old, his family was going through a tough time financially. The father could not afford his rent, so his mother Pinky Roshan took him and his sister to his father’s house, where his father Rakesh Roshan lived with his mother.
Hrithik said in the interview that Suzanne’s confident personality helped bring him out of the tense situation. He said that Suzanne brought light to his life. The two divorced in 2016 but are still very good friends. She is currently living at Hrithik’s home in Mumbai with her children amid the Coronavirus lockdown in the country.
