The final clash has unfortunately been announced as “abandoned” after the rain does not seem to stop.
The umpires on 9:39 confirmed that the rains have a very light chance to get stopped and the minimum the match was being honoured by was 5 overs per side but it did not assist well to the situation out there.
Fans are rightly upset at the Chinnaswamy Stadium as the trophy will be shared and no action will be witnessed despite the fans waiting for over 3 hours to watch the series decider.
Indian captain Rishabh Pant would be upset to miss the chance to miss his maiden trophy on his debut series as a skipper whereas South Africa will be disappointed by nature’s action as the two quick wickets gave them an upper hand in tonight’s critical game.
The officials have confirmed that the series will be shared after the score concluded at 2-2. India’s brilliant comeback in Vizag and Rajkot did not benefit them to win the series but made sure that the trophy does not travel to South Africa as it will be shared for now.
South Africa continues its record of not having lost a limited-overs series on Indian soil since the year 2010.
