Now on this ground, speculations are, there can be a semifinal match between the two teams once again. However, this will depend on the equation of the final points in the table taken by all the teams. In fact, the first semifinal match will be played between the team with the highest points against the team with the fourth highest points.
If the Indian team able to bag the first spot on the table and the Pakistan team grabs the fourth place, then cricket fans can get to see the match again on 9th July between these two opponents.
In the points table, till now (26th of June), India’s position is strong and it is currently on the third position with 9 points from 5 matches. There are still four more matches to be played by India. On the other hand, the condition of Pakistan is not well in the table, it has played 6 matches so far, won only 2 and has 5 points. It is currently on the seventh position (till June 26). In order to make a place in the semi-finals, it will have to win all three remaining matches. Pakistan has to play its next matches against New Zealand, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
