India took face Australia in the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Qatar on Saturday to kick up their 2023 AFC Asian Cup campaign.
India fought well in the first half to get into halftime with a 0-0 result, and Sunil Chhetri missed a simple header.
Australia tied the score at 1-0 in the second half after tying up the loose ends. Jackson Irvine scored the first goal in the 50th minute.
Then, in the 73rd minute, Australia’s Jordan Bos made it 2-0 as they defeated India by 2-0.
