Indian wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha receives approval to switch states after CAB grants him NOC

Wriddhiman Saha obtained the Cricket Association of Bengal’s No-Objection Certificate (CAB). The CAB confirmed on Saturday, July 2, that it had granted the experienced wicketkeeper the NOC.

“Mr Wriddhiman Saha came to CAB and in an application to President Avishek Dalmiya sought the NOC from the association. CAB gave concurrence to the request of Mr Saha and provided the NOC to him for playing for another state. CAB also wished him the very best for his future endeavours,” the CAB said in a statement.

Since the association joint secretary Debabrata Das publicly questioned Saha’s dedication to the State cricket, the “Saha-CAB” dispute has been boiling for a while. Saha has been very clear about his dissatisfaction.

“For me, too, it is a very sad feeling that I have to go through something like this after playing for Bengal for so long,” he had told Sportstar last month.

According to Cricbuzz he may join Tripura as a mentor-cum-captain and remain in the East itself. Officials from the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) could not be reached right away.
