For the year 2024, Kareena Kapoor, the Bollywood actress, has been ranked as the leading female tax-paying actor in India by Fortune India. This is an indication that she has invested a lot of money in her motion picture, advertising contracts, as well as other business activities. Altogether, Kareena has paid Rs 20 crore in taxes surpassing Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt’s tax payments. Followed by Kareena Kapoor on this list is Kiara Advani at Rs 12 crore and Katrina Kaif at Rs 11 crore. Notably, the three are the only female celebrities in the tax-paying rankings this year.
If we switch to male actors, Shah Rukh Khan tops the list in the maximum tax paid overall by celebrities in India for 2024. He has parted with Rs 92 crore in taxes. Following him is Thalapathy Vijay who invested Rs 80 crore while Salman Khan invested Rs 75 crore. It is also quite interesting to see that Vijay is the only actor from South India who has made it to the top three places. His latest film, GOAT: The movie titled Greatest of All Time was released for cinemas on September 5th and seems to be pretty popular. Two other stars from South India – Mohanlal and Allu Arjun – also featured in the list which saw both the actors paying a tax of Rs 14 crore.

Among the highest tax-paying actors Shahrukh takes the lead, while Kareena tops the list when we talk about female actors. On the professional front, Kareena Kapoor will be seen in her next thriller movie, The Buckingham Murders under the production of Balaji Motion Pictures and the direction of Hansal Mehta. The movie is a British creation, bringing a new successful page to her acting experience in London. Recently she has been seen in Crew and Jaane Jaan, which is an OTT release on Netflix where she also shares screen with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.
