Ira Khan, who is engaged to Nupur Shikhare, has disputed reports that she will wed her fiancé next month, according to media reports that surfaced hours ago. On Thursday, she posted a picture of the news article on Instagram Stories along with a note that has since been removed which read, “No no… Not getting married on 3rd October! Later, you’ll know when because I’ll be so excited that it will be hard to not notice…”

Ira Khan was responding to a Bombay Times article that cited a source as stating, “The couple (Ira and Nupur) has planned an elaborate wedding ceremony in Udaipur. It’s a three-day affair, and the festivities will include their friends and extended family, members. This one, too, will be an intimate affair minus the presence of any people from the film industry… the father of the bride (Aamir Khan) is extremely excited and is closely involved with the planning.”

In November 2022, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare were engaged. Aamir Khan, Reena Dutta, and Aamir’s ex-wife Kiran Rao, his second wife, were among those present at the event. Imran Khan, an actor, who is Aamir’s nephew, was also present. He again dropped down on one knee and proposed to Ira in one of the images Nupur Shikhare shared from their engagement celebration as she became tearful.

A few months earlier, in Italy, celebrity fitness trainer Nupur had popped the question to Ira Khan. The couple, who had been dating for some time at the time, had posted the video of their proposal on each other’s Instagram accounts.
Ira made her directing debut in 2019 with a theatrical performance that starred Hazel Keech in the title role. It was known as Medea, an Indianized version of the same-named Greek tragedy by Euripides.
