Mommy-to-be Alia Bhatt has shared an update on her forthcoming movie ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra. Contrary to reports that the Farhan Akhtar directorial has been shelved, the actress shared some intriguing news for fans.
“IT’S HAPPENING!” Alia said while going on to add, “We will go on floors next year. Of course, we can not go on the floor this year (gesturing at her pregnancy).”
The actress added that nor is she nor her wonderful co-stars prepared to let this road-trip movie pass without making it to the big screen. ” We ain’t letting that film go. We are fighting for it and we are all too excited about it. It’s going to be quite massive and we can’t wait,” she said.
Written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, the movie announced last year. Following reports of Priyanka secretly welcoming daughter Malti with spouse Nick Jonas and Alia’s pregnancy with husband Ranbir Kapoor, bits of hearsay were overflowing that the movie has been put on the back burner.
Many even hypothesized that Farhan had shelved the movie to shift focus on his next big directorial – Don 3. Rumors were overflowing that the most awaited movie won’t just bring back Shah Rukh Khan as Don, however, will likewise see megastar Amitabh Bachchan return to his iconic role.
