Today is the death anniversary of actress Jiah Khan whose demise became a mystery. As per the reports, she passed away on June 3, 2013, by committing suicide, however, there were lots of speculations behind it. And her death is still a mystery for everyone. Soon after her death, her case was also investigated by both Mumbai Police and CBI. But the case instead of getting solved got more complicated. For those unversed about Jiah. First let us tell you that she was a British-American actress, who made her screen appearance with Ram Gopal’s 2007 film Nishabd. And after achieving success in the film she was signed for films like Ghajini and Housefull. In the film, she played a medical student who probes the case of Sanjay Singhania, (Aamir Khan), and her role was quite appreciated by critics. This film became the highest-grossing film of 2008. And talking about her other multi-starrer film Housefull, she played the role of the ex-wife of Akshay(Devika). Again it became a hit on the big screens.
Jiah Death Mystery
It was June 3, 2013, when the actress was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her bedroom. The case took place in Juhu, Mumbai. But the most shocking thing that was revealed after her death was a handwritten note of six pages that was found at her residence. Back then her death became the highlight. And many of you will be shocked to know that she mentioned the name of Sooraj Pancholi. She mentioned the things Jiah faced while she was in a relationship with the actor. And the death case that was taken as suicide took a drastic turn. Infact just after a year, the Bombay High Court also ordered the CBI to investigate thoroughly. However, the case of the actress is still going on and there are many facts that are yet to be known.
How Sooraj Pancholi’s have a connection to her death
Now let us tell you that the moment Sooraj Pancholi’s name came forward, as mentioned in Jia’s letter her mother Rabia claimed that he murdered Jiah. Because the letter reads “These days I see no light I wake up not wanting to wake up. There was a time I saw my life with you, a future with you. But you shattered my dreams. I was scared of getting pregnant but I gave myself completely the pain you have caused me everyday has destroyed every bit of me, destroyed my soul.” the letter further stated about the pain, rape, abuse, and the torture she faced. She ended up saying that I am saying goodbye to my career and my dreams. (For those who are unaware, let us tell you that he is the son of the famous actor Aditya Pancholi).
The moment this letter came into the hands of CBI, Sooraj was booked under abetment of suicide (section 306 of IPC). But later on, he was granted bail. But surprisingly his name again made headlines in 2020 after another suicide case took place. Which was none other than Sushant Singh Rajput. Along with this his name got flashed in Disha Salian’s murder’s case. Who was Sushant’s ex-manager.
