Malvika Raaj, an actress best known for portraying young Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), shocked her fans by announcing her engagement to businessman Pranav Bagga. She claims it was the “right time” to publicly disclose her longtime partner. In the midst of hot air balloons in Cappadocia, Turkey, businessman Bagga proposed to Raaj.
“I had no clue about his proposal plans. In fact, I thought we were going for a hot balloon ride. But Pranav had something else in mind and he totally surprised me when he pulled out the ring,” says Raaj, further adding, “It was a very cute moment which will stay in my mind and heart forever. It changed my life.”
The 29-year-old revealed the proposal really took place around two months ago, while they were on their way to her cousin’s wedding, but she was too busy to share it with the public. She posted numerous romantic photographs from the proposal on Instagram. “After coming from Turkey, I was travelling and went to shoot in London for a month-and-a-half. Then I had a shooting schedule in Bhopal. So, I didn’t get time. But I wanted to share this happy moment of my life with everyone,” added the actor.
The performer informs us that she and Bagga first connected through common acquaintances and have been together for more than ten years. “But, I’ve always kept my personal life private, and never spoke about it. And now I felt it was the right time to be out with it, so I went ahead,” she averred.
“In all these years, we have spent so much time together that he has become my go-to person for everything and in every situation. He is the one person who I need to call and say everything to. We share a very pure relationship and I don’t talk about it much because I believe in nazar,” she recalls.
“At the moment, I am enjoying this phase being engaged. Our families are planning the wedding, and laying it all out,” Raaj concludes.
