Legendary actress Rekha is the daughter of superstar of Tamil Cinema Gemini Ganesan and Telugu actor Pushpavalli. At 12, she debuted in the Rangula Ratnam, a Telegu film. She stepped into Bollywood in Sawan Badhon in the pivotal role. Some of her critically acclaimed works include, Ghar, Khubsoorat, Umraao Jaan, and Silsila. She has been honored with the prestigious Padam Shri in 2010.
