Kangana Ranaut took a dig at the slow start of Selfiee starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi to her Instagram handle while also slammed Karan Johar on its release day. Helmed by Raj Mehta of Good Newwz fame, Kangana reacted to a box office report of Selfiee, the actor lauded Karan Johar in a mocking manner.
By doing a comparative analysis of her previous outing Dhakaad indirectly with Selfiee, Kangana wrote, “Karan Johar movie Selfie has hardly made 10 lakhs on the first day I don’t see even one trade or media person talk about it forget mocking or bullying him the way they harass me…”
In her next post, Kangana posted a news article, “’Male version of Kangana Ranaut!,’ Netizens react as Akshay’s ‘Selfiee’ fails to impress viewers, may be his 6th flop film in a row.” The actor averred, “I was looking for news about selfie flop I found all the news is about me…yeh bhi meri hi galti hai,” with some laughing emojis. She went on to add, “Wah bhai Karan johar wah (Congrats).”
Trade experts estimated that Selfiee will mint opening collections between the range of ₹4 to 5 crore by Friday. If that is true then it will be lowest openers for Akshay Kumar for over a decade.
Meanwhile, Kangana’s Dhaakad too served as the low-performing films of 2022. Helmed by Razneesh Ghai, it was out on 20 May 2022. Kangana will be now seen in Emergency.
