Bollywood’s beautiful actress Kangana Ranaut is again making headlines. Not for her controversial statements but this time for her fee that she charged for a film. Yes, she is on her way to become the highest paid female actor in India.
According to the reports, she will be paid Rs 24 crore for playing former Tamil Nadu chief minister and former actor J Jayalalithaa’s biopic. This film will be made both in Hindi and Tamil. The film will be titled as Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi. It will be directed by Vijay and written by KV Vijayendra Prasad.
In India, till now, the amount of Rs 24 crore as a fee is the highest figure any female actor got in the country. Earlier, it was Deepika Padukone who received Rs 13 crore for playing the lead character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat and became the highest-paid actress. Whereas, the other lead actors Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor took home Rs 10 crore.
However, now Kangana broke the record of Deepika, if the latest reports are true.
