Madhur Bhandarkar, a famous film director, for his project Heroine, (he and the production house) decided to allot a whopping Rs 1.2 crore as a budget for only the costumes of the film.
According to the reports, in the film ‘Heroine,’ the leading lady Kareena Kapoor wore over 130 different dresses by top fashion designers from all over the world. It has been reported that Kareena’s wardrobe for the film was one of the most expensive out of all the Bollywood movies ever created!
A source at the time of film release revealed that,
“Kareena plays a diva at the prime of her career. Each scene will have at least four costume changes. Heroine is an extravagant project and they are leaving no stone unturned to make it look as glamorous as possible.”
Just think about 130 dresses by top fashion designers! However, even after putting so much of efforts, the film was a flop.
