1) Katrina Kaif is half Indian and a half British. Her real name is Katrina Turquotte. She opted her father’s surname ‘Kaif’ in Bollywood to connect with the Indian audience. Katrina claimed that her father is a British businessman of Kashmiri descent. She has one brother and six sisters. She was a kid when her father abandoned her and her siblings and divorced her mother. She never saw him after then.
2) The film Boom was not supposed to be Katrina Kaif’s first film. She was first cast by director Mahesh Bhatt in ‘Saaya’ film but later dropped from the film because she couldn’t speak Hindi at all. Katrina then made her debut with film Boom in the year 2003. The film was a disaster at the box office.
3) For her Telegu film ‘Malliswari’ which was released in the year 2004, she charged Rs 75 lakh. It was the highest amount paid to a female actor at that time in the South India Cinema.
