Kerala Crime Files (KCF), a six-part television series with a 30-minute runtime that is directed by Ahammed Khabeer and produced by Rahul Riji Nair under the auspices of First Print Studios, has six episodes.

Director Ahammed Khabeer told Indian Express that discussions for the second season of “Kerala Crime Files: Shiju Parayil Veedu, Neendakara” are already underway, despite the positive reviews for the first season.

“Without a doubt, there will be a second season for Kerala Crime Files. However, the current story will conclude with Season 1, and the subsequent season will not continue from where it left off. We are presently engaged in discussions for a potential follow-up season, and I already have a small story idea, which needs to be developed further. Once I get a comprehensive idea, we will proceed further and the next installment of Kerala Crime Files will likely arrive next year,” Ahammed mentioned during a conversation with Indian Express.

Season 1 of KCF centres on a case involving the death of a sex worker in a lodge and features Aju Varghese and Lal in key roles. “As the story unfolds, a team of five police officers, including a circle inspector and a sub-inspector, are entrusted with the task of investigating the incident and solving the case within a specific timeframe,” says Ahammed Khabeer.

“Although the story takes place in the backdrop of Kerala, the making and storytelling of Kerala Crime Files are at par with popular web series in India,” producer Rahul Riji Nair have stated to the media.

“With Kerala Crime Files, we embark on an exciting journey with original Malayalam content by working with incredible talents like Lal and Aju Varghese and many more who are portraying roles and characters that have never been seen before. With our new show, we are starting a journey that will offer the audience in the Malayalam market a fresh, new content experience,” Krishnan Kutty, Head – Business and Content for Disney Star (South India and Maharashtra) mentioned while speaking to the media.
