The creators of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani have finally released the complete video for the wedding song. At the same period, the song Kudmayi was also published. The song, which stars Ranveer and Alia, is a gorgeously produced number that ends with the two characters getting married in a lavish manner. Viewers are also given fresh information in the song video that you might have skipped.
Shahid Mallya sings the calming song, which was penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and was composed by Pritam. The wedding of Rocky (Ranveer) and Rani (Alia) in the video is witnessed by both sets of parents. In one scene, Tota Roy Chowdhury, who plays Alia’s on-screen father, kisses Alia’s palms and assists her in donning jewellery and her bridal veil. Ranveer becomes distraught in the meantime as his parents assist him in getting ready for the wedding.
The credits also contain some information that viewers must have overlooked. When Alia enters the stage during the “varmala” scene with Ranveer at the opposite end, her brothers lift her above their heads. Ranveer stooping in front of Alia as she begins to place the garland on him, Alia smiles and moves to do so.
In another crucial scene during the wedding, Alia’s father places Alia’s palm above Ranveer’s during the ‘kanyadaan.’ However, in the following scene, Ranveer’s father places Ranveer’s palm above Alia, suggesting that the traditional ‘kanyadaan’ practise is not always necessary.
The song Kudmayi was removed from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s final cut, according to Karan Johar, in order to keep the movie’s running time under 250 minutes. The song was, by chance, kept in the movie’s end credits because of these reasons. The song was only four days after Alia’s actual wedding to actor Ranbir Kapoor, according to Karan.
