Malaika Arora and her sister Amrita Arora are going through a devastating time since their father Anil Arora committed suicide. Authorities are investigating to understand the cause of his death.
Unfortunately, in a tragic incident, actress Malaika Arora, and her sister Amrita Arora lost their father Anil Arora, who died from suicide. As per the statement of Mumbai Police, Anil Arora committed suicide on Wednesday afternoon by falling from the balcony of his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. Currently, the family has not made any statement to the public since they are mourning over the tragic incident. In this case, as soon as the mishap occurred, police commanders hastened to the scene to open an inquiry. It is still unclear what exactly led to this horrible incident. The police are investigating possible actions that may have resulted in his death.
Anil Arora’s wife Joyce formally divorced but had been staying with him for the past few years, Joyce described to the police the events of the morning. She also said that it was routine for Anil that he would sit on the balcony every morning reading the newspaper. The next day, which was on Wednesday morning, she observed his slippers in the living room which was strange. When she went to the balcony to check on him, she could not see him anywhere. She then peeped over the balcony and realized there were people down there including the watchman screaming for help. Joyce also said that Anil has no major health concerns besides some discomfort in his knees. This is one event that has left all those who are directly or indirectly associated with the family completely shocked.
Soon after the news broke Malaika rushed back to Mumbai from Pune. A video shared on social media showed her arriving at the building, visibly heartbroken. Her ex-house husband was also present, seen talking to some police personnel outside the premises making sure that everything was well managed during such time. To maintain some privacy for the family, the scene around the house was cordoned off and there were a lot of police officers around. There was an ambulance parked outside to assist in the ongoing situation.
People close to Malaika, including friends and family members, started coming to her after the news was aired. Her close friend and former partner, Arjun Kapoor, was seen visiting the family. Following this tragedy, Arbaaz Khan’s family members Salim Khan, Salma Khan, Sohail Khan, and Alvira Agnihotri also arrived to comfort her during this difficult time.

Earlier Malaika had opened up about her family, focusing on the fact that her parents were divorced when she was just 11 years old, and she and her sister Amrita grew up mostly with their mum, Joyce. Still, Malaika had attributed her parents’ separation as the most important lesson in life that she had learned. She reflected on her mother’s tenacity and ability to stand on her own which persisted in shaping her own life. The separation had not been easy but Malaika considered it a lesson that made her grow stronger.
