Actors Manjima Mohan and Gautham Karthik who tied their knot amidst the presence of close-knit family and friends in Chennai. Fans extended best wishes for the newly wed while some also body shamed Manjima.
In a conversation with a portal she revealed that she received hate not just online but on her wedding day too. “In fact, even at our wedding, a few people commented about it. Earlier, it used to bother me, but now I am comfortable with my body and I know that I can lose weight when I want to,” she said.
“I’m not sure why it should affect others,” she adds.
Manjima Mohan, made her debut as a child artist in Malayalam film Kaliyoonjal, and thereafter went on to become the female lead in Oru Vadakkan Selfie, starring Nivin Pauly. Later she starte off in the Tamil cinema with Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada.
Manjima starred together with Gautham Karthik in the film Devarattam. Years later the duo started dating.
Manjima Mohan will next appear in the film October 31st Ladies Night, which is currently in the making.
