On Monday, Maoists assaulted a third railway construction site in a tiny Jharkhand town close to the Ranchi-Latehar border, torching numerous adjacent bridge-bound trucks in the process. The tragedy happened on a bridge over the Chhati River in McCluskieganj, Ranchi.
LiveHindustan claims that maoists also attacked the site’s staff and shouted abuse. One construction worker reported seeing 10 to 12 armed individuals wandering about the site late at night.
Similar attacks were made in the area and interfered with the construction of the railway, causing the damage of property worth millions of dollars.
