    Meet The Japanese Entrepreneur Who Will Spend 12 Days On International Space Station (ISS)

    Recently a Japanese entrepreneur and a billionaire Yusaku Maezawa planned 12 days trip to the ISS on Soyuz on Dec 8th, 2021. Read to know the details below.

    Yusaku Maezawa who is a Japanese entrepreneur and a billionaire while ago set off to ISS. After the news went viral there were a lot of talks about this. But before we proceed let us introduce you to this man. Actually, he is the one who long back in 1998 founded Japan’s largest online shopping mall. A founder of Zozo Inc., an online retail brand, who resigned as CEO in September 2019.

    Maezawa is a billionaire who desires to take a trip to the Moon in 2023 in cooperation with SpaceX. In fact, the founder of the company SpaceX Elon Musk in 2018 announced. That Yusaku will be the first customer who will be sent to the space. One of the Twitter posts also reads “First civilian to fly around the moon on @SpaceX’s Starship in 2023 @dearMoonProject, and go to the ISS on Soyuz in Dec 8th, 2021.”

    As per the reports along with Maezawa, the other two who will accompany him are the video producer Yozo Hirano–who will document, and Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin. They all three first reached aboard a Soyuz MS-20 and then the space flight left from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The mission duration has been planned for 12 days that includes 10 tasks. Also, let us tell you that they are part of the contract signed with Russian space agency Roscosmos and Space Adventures. Space adventure was founded in 1997 and so far the only private company to send paying customers to orbital space.

    Apart from the company space adventure other companies that are working on space tourism are Virgin Atlantic, SpaceX, XCOR Aerospace, Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin, and Armadillo Aerospace.
