We saw a number of heart-stopping blockbuster movies in 2023 that captured our attention. Shah Rukh Khan, who starred in three films—”Pathaan,” “Jawan,” and the soon-to-be released “Dunki”—was essential to the development of the industry. The entertainment industry benefited greatly from several noteworthy films, including Salman Khan’s “Tiger 3,” Akshay Kumar’s “OMG 2,” Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2,” and the Ranveer-Alia film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.”
Thankfully, 2024 is expected to be no different, with a schedule of significant releases from both Hollywood and Bollywood. Here are a couple of these movies that are expected to be big hits in 2024.
‘Fighter’
“Fighter,” the first aerial action film in India and the brainchild of Siddharth Anand, is slated to open in theaters on January 25, 2024. The bravery, altruism, and patriotic zeal of the Indian military services are the subjects of this much anticipated movie. Since the release of its motion poster in August, “Fighter,” starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, has created a lot of online hype.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’
The movie is expected to be a blockbuster since it stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and more. The movie is being overseen by Nag Ashwin, who is well-known for box office hits like “Mahanati” and “Yevade Subramanyam.” The movie’s first look trailer presents a future universe in which Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan play warriors involved in a combat-like situation. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on January 24, 2024.
‘Pushpa 2’
With the popularity of ‘Pushpa,’ moviegoers are looking forward to ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule,’ starring Allu Arjun. ‘Pushpa 1,’ the first installment, became a huge blockbuster in India in 2021, making Allu Arjun a national hero. He recently won the Best Actor National Film Award. Hit songs were also featured in the film, which costarred Rashmika Mandanna. Anticipations for the sequel are strong. The highly anticipated film “Pushpa 2: The Rule” is scheduled to premiere on August 15, 2024.
‘Dune: Part 2’
The release of “Dune: Part Two,” which was initially slated for late 2023 but was delayed in anticipation of a premiere at a prominent film festival, most notably Venice, was affected by strikes among Hollywood writers and actors. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait much longer for Denis Villeneuve’s massive sci-fi epic sequel, which centers on Zendaya’s Chani, the Freman warrior that was glimpsed in the first installment. The movie will now open in theaters on March 1, 2024.
‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’
The official premiere date of the eagerly awaited romance sports drama “Mr and Mrs Mahi” is March 15, 2024. The movie, which is based on the life of Indian cricket player M.S. Dhoni, stars Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao in the key parts, continuing their partnership from the horror-comedy “Roohi.” The movie, which is helmed by Sharan Sharma, started filming in May 2022 and went through several shooting sessions in the course of a year.
