This year, a number of Bollywood films impressed moviegoers and some performers had huge comebacks. Even with their little parts and limited screen time, a few managed to wow the audience, leaving us wanting more. Look at the performers who, despite having less screen time, had a significant influence.
1. Bobby Deol in Animal
Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, swept the big screen. Even though Ranbir Kapoor was the star of the show, Bobby Deol, who portrayed the anti-hero in the films, also received a lot of love from the public. His jaw-dropping, action-packed showdown with Ranbir towards the end of the film leaves everyone in shock. People loved Deol’s character Abrar so much, despite his little screen time, that they wanted a spin-off.
2. Churni Ganguly in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani
Rocky and Rani Karan Johar’s film Kii Prem Kahaani addressed a number of societal clichés. The actress Churni Ganguly, who portrayed Rani’s mother Anjali Chatterjee in the key role. It’s admirable how she offers Rocky Randhawa a feminine viewpoint and finally inspires him to speak up for the women in his home. Her portrayal of the English professor who fights misogyny and isn’t scared to own her mistakes speaks volumes about her character.
3. Gajraj Rao in Satyaprem Ki Katha
When you think about it, only Gajraj Rao could have played Sattu’s father Narayan in Gujarat, the character played by Kartik Aaryan. The actor successfully draws attention to a social stigma without using excessive words, which made us want to see more of him in Satyaprem Ki Katha.
4. Shahana Goswami in Zwigato
The drama film Zigato, directed by Nandita Das, narrated a significant tale. Despite the film’s lackluster performance at the box office, both reviewers and moviegoers gave it high reviews. Although Kapil Sharma, the main actor, provided a powerful performance, Shahana Goswami, who plays his wife Pratima Mahto, deserves praise for bringing some uniqueness to the movie.
5. Sanjay Dutt in Jawan
The reaction to Deepika Padukone’s unique double role in Jawan as Azad’s mother and Aishwarya Rathore has been tremendous. However, spectators jumped with delight when they spotted Sanjay Dutt as STF officer Madhavan Naik at the end of the film. 6. Triptii Dimri in Animal
The way Triptii Dimri portrayed Zoya in Animal was well-received. The actress quickly rose to fame as the nation’s favorite in the brief time she spent entertaining the crowd. Many believed that the action-thriller film served as her just desserts.
7. Kalki Koechlin in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan
It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that Kalki Koechlin, who played a supporting role in Arjun Varain Singh’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, ate and left no crumbs behind. She was excellent as the photographer who eventually develops an emotional attachment to Imaad (Siddhant Chaturvedi), with her expressive face and eyes doing the majority of the talking. She is hardly visible for a short moment, but her presence is felt strongly.
