Tamil cinema superstar Nayanthara is back with another horror project Connect the teaser for which as released on her 38th birthday this Friday. The teaser purely delivers chills to the audience ensuring a horror-filled experience. It also mentions that the film will not have an intermission.
The teaser kicks off with visuals of famous places in Chennai however the stills are filled with silence and no life. The camera is then panned over the leading characters played by Nayanthara and Sathyaraj.
This quickly shift to the rant of a young girl who cries, ‘untie me, mom. I’m scared’. Anupam Kher is also seen in the teaser who guides a girl named Susan to get into the girl’s room. Seemingly, Nayanthara plays Susan. She enters a dark room and sees that the knots are untied on the bed. As Susan misses the spot, she witnesses a possessed girl who is tangled to the bed.
Helmed by Ashwin Saravanan, Connect makes his second project with Nayanthara. The first project was a horror thriller titled Maya. The film is bankrolled by Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara’s husband which is slated to release on December 22.
Nayanthara was seen in Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal a romantic comedy featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Sethupathi in the leading roles. In the garb of Kanmani Ganguly, she falls for Vijay Sethupathi’s character who is also loved by Samantha’s character simultaneously.
In Tamil cinema, she appeared in 02, a thriller film. She was also a part of Godfather and played the role of Chiranjeevi’s sister.
