Numerous new releases on numerous OTT platforms coincide with the arrival of the new year.Nearly all Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and television series are available on Disney Plus. It has also drawn a sizable fan base for the Star Wars movie series. Although the majority of Disney Plus’ streaming releases are from these two companies, the service also offers other popular TV series and films. Disney Plus will premiere the following movies and TV series in January 2024:
Percy Jackson (Jan 2, 9, and 16)
On Tuesday, January 2, at 6 p.m. ET, the fourth episode of the fantasy television series Percy Jackson and the Olympians will air on Disney+. The show’s heroes encounter the mother of all monsters in the episode “I Plunge to My Death” as they look for safety in St. Louis. Furthermore, January 9 and January 16, respectively, are the scheduled release dates for episodes 5 and 6.
BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star (Jan 3 and 10)
The renowned documentary series BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star centers on the well-known members of the K-pop group BTS. Disney+ will debut episodes 5 and 6 on Wednesday, January 3. On Wednesday, January 10, episodes 7 and 8 are scheduled to air. Special behind-the-scenes video, interviews, and performances by RM, Jin, SUGA, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook are included in the eight-part documentary series.
Echo (Jan 9)
On Tuesday, January 9, Disney Plus will premiere the highly anticipated MCU miniseries Echo. The site will make all five episodes available for viewing that same day beginning at 6 p.m. PT. “Maya Lopez must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.” reads the official IMDb summary for Echo.
Bluey – Season 3 (Jan 12)
Bluey Season 3 will debut ten new episodes on Disney+ on Friday, January 12. During the upcoming season, “Bluey showcases the joyful simplicity that can be found in families turning everyday events of family life — like making a cubby house (blanket fort) or a trip to the beach — into unique adventures that bring to life how children learn and grow through play.”
A Real Bug’s Life (January 24)
A Real Bug’s Life, a new Disney+ Original Series from National Geographic, will debut on Wednesday, January 24. According to IMDb, the synopsis says: “A Real Bug’s Life is an adventure into a world beyond your imagination where life is on a completely different scale and little creatures rely on amazing powers to make it through the day.”
