Nivin Pauley stated the rape allegation case that has been registered against him in Kerala’s Ernakulam district.
A case was registered against Malayalam film actor Nivin Pauly aged 40 years at the time of the incident in Ernakulam district of Kerala. The case was initiated by a woman who stated that she was allegedly lured by a movie role offer and sexually assaulted at a foreign location by a gang of six people and the actor’s name is mentioned as the sixth accused.
In reply to these accusations, Nivin Pauly immediately held a press conference on Tuesday evening. He denied any influence by saying ‘I have never seen this woman or spoken to her before these allegations are baseless and I am willing to take any measure to prove these allegations false.’ The actor remains strong in his words, affirming his readiness to help in the investigations regardless of the personal outcome it will have, come what may, the truth shall prevail.
Nivin Pauley’s statement:
Pauly also disclosed that approximately 45 days before the occurrence, the police had called him in connection with the complaint. When he told the police that he didn’t know the woman, the police let him go and closed the case. However, Pauly does not agree with such claims, stating that there could be some conspiracy behind the charges. He said that his family and especially his mother has been supporting him in this tough period.”I will fight this case not just for myself, but for everyone who faces similar false allegations,” he said. He clarified that aside from a producer he met in Dubai, he does not know the other individuals named in the case.
The actor also took to social media platform X and said: “I have come across a false news report accusing me of abusing a girl. Please know that this is entirely untrue. I’m determined to go to any extent to prove these allegations are baseless and will take all necessary steps to bring those responsible to light. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be handled legally.”
According to the report, the woman filed the complaint when other similar incidents emerged after the Hema Committee report, which addressed sexual abuse in the Malayalam cinema industry. Therefore, the Oonukal police in Ernakulam district registered the case against Pauly. The case will now be handed over to the SIT set up by the Kerala government which is a probe agency for all cases related to sexual exploitation in the Malayalam film industry.
Coming back to Nivin Pauly he stands firm in his decision to prove his innocence and is willing to undergo any tests in the court of law.
