Akeal Hosein has successfully brought West Indies back into the game after the duo Imam and Babar smashed outstanding half-centuries.

While the 120-runs stand was broken because of a misunderstanding runout, Akeal took the opportunity to take out Babar with some hint of spin which benefited the Windies to take on the big fish with a slight edge.

Babar Azam got out scoring 77 runs and the Multan crowd went in silence after regretting Babar’s consecutive series of centuries coming to an end. Nevertheless, the continuous record of half-centuries is still on track and Babar will remain the ICC number 1 batsman for a reason.

Akeal did not stop after Babar’s wicket but also dominated any other partnership which was about to begin. As Rizwan thought of settling in his home ground Akeal took the advantage to strike the stumps for his second quick wicket.

Mohammad Nawaz, who has not played much cricket for team Pakistan was the third prey who fall in Akeal’s trap. This was Akeal’s strategical wicket as he supposedly kept a leg slip to which the ball was ultimately delivered in the hands.

OUT! AKEALLL!!!@AHosein21 strikes again for this third wicket, @mnawaz94 is caught at leg-slip by captain @nicholas_47 🔥. West Indies back in contest with 10 overs to go! #MenInMaroon #PAKvWI

Pakistan has been restricted to hitting some massive shots and with just the last few overs left, Pakistan has been able to touch 200 and the dream of scoring almost 350 tonight seems impossible.
