An online petition has filed by the Pakistani people against Priyanka Chopra, seeking her removal from her UN role of UNICEF’s GoodWill ambassador. It all prompted when the Hollywood-Bollywood actress supported Indian Air Force for doing an air strike on Pakistan in retaliation to Pulwama terror attack on February 14, 2019.

In her tweet, Priyanka Chopra wrote,

    Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces 🇮🇳 🙏🏽

    — PRIYANKA (@priyankachopra) February 26, 2019

She tweeted this on February 26, when India made air strike across LoC and destroyed terror camps of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahedin. The petition on the online platform Avaaz asks for the actor’s removal from the post as she did not stay “neutral”.

Out of many negative comments she received on her tweet, one read: “War between two nuclear powers can only lead to destruction & death. As goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, Priyanka Chopra was supposed to stay neutral and peaceful…She doesn’t deserve this title anymore (sic).”

The petition against Priyanka Chopra, which tagged the United Nations and the UNICEF, had received over 4,200 signatures out of a 5,000 mark. UNICEF has not commented on it yet.
