Pakistan government’s major source of concern was to bring the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to the arbitration and negotiation table, however received a setback. The group threatened the two major political parties in the coalition. While the threat was pointed out at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari led Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

“If these two parties remain firm on their position and continue to be slaves of the army, then action will be taken against their leading people,” the TTP, which is supposedly a second-hand counterpart of the Al-Qaeda and has build linkages based on ideologies with the Afghan Taliban, mentioned in a statement.

It vested a warning that “people should avoid getting close to such leading people.”

The terror group claimed that “our target is the security agencies occupying the country”.

“Although Bilawal is still young, this poor man has not yet witnessed the state of war,” the statement further read.

Bilawal Bhutto’s mother and former Pakistan prime minister Benazir Bhutto were allegedly assassinated by the TTP militants during a terrorist scuffle in 2007.

The TTP group is responsible for deadly attacks in Pakistan. It threatened the leaders of two ruling political parties, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday and averred it as a “general threat of terrorism”.
