Many probably don’t know that actor Pankaj Tripathi was offered the role of Subedar Kuldeep Singh in Hrithik Roshan starrer Lakshya. The news was also out in the newspaper. In any case, his role was edited out from the final cut.
In a conversation with a portal, Pankaj uncovered that first time he gave an audition was for ‘Lakshya‘. He was cast for the role of a character named Subedar Kuldeep Singh. The actor likewise visited Leh-Laddakh for the first time during its filming. Before the release of the movie, he was in Patna. While conversing with one of his media friends there, he randomly mentioned that he is a part of it. The reporter got excited and asked for more details. Tripathi educated him about his role and about his scenes with Hrithik Roshan. Following day a newspaper carried the news alongside a small photo of the actor.

Pankaj also said that after the release of the film, when he went to watch it at a theatre alongside his better half, he realised that his scene was edited out.
Years after, Pankaj had an opportunity to share screen with Hrithik in ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Super 30’. Speaking about the same, Pankaj reportedly said that he never asked Farhan Akhtar about for what reason his role was edited out of the movie. Nonetheless, he uncovered that while working on ‘Super 30’, Hrithik and he had a little talk on it. Hrithik asked him whether ‘Super 30’ was their second movie or the third one. He just remembered ‘Agneepath’. Tripathi reminded him of ‘Lakshya’ too.
