Parineeti Chopra has been a fixture in the Indian film industry for over a decade, known for her versatility in portraying diverse characters on the silver screen. Her journey in Bollywood has been marked by an ability to defy conventions. However, she has been unlucky with hits. Box-office success has mostly evaded her career inspite of critical acclaim.
Chopra made her acting debut in 2011 with the film Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, where she played the role of a con artist. This unconventional choice set the tone for her career, as she consistently took on challenging roles that allowed her to showcase her range as an actress. Some of her notable films include Ishaqzaade, Shuddh Desi Romance, Hasee Toh Phasee, Golmaal Again and the recent Amar Singh Chamkila.

Her more recent film, Uunchai, exemplifies her ability to take on diverse roles. In the family drama, Chopra played the part of a tourist guide, sharing the screen with veteran actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. Her performance was well-received, with the director, Sooraj Barjatya, praising her energy and chemistry with her co-stars.
