According to many rumours, Parineeti Chopra and her reported boyfriend Raghav Chadha are getting engaged this weekend. Online images from the alleged location of the engagement have also surfaced, adding credence to the rumours. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and the actor will tie the knot on Saturday at Delhi’s Connaught Place’s Kapurthala House.
Kapurthala House is shown in a recent video that paparazzi posted. Outside the venue, some staff members were seen carrying plywood along with additional decor items. The message said, “Ring ceremony venue of Parineeti & Raghav Chadha at Kapurthala House in New Delhi.”
A traditional ceremony is planned for Parineeti and Raghav’s engagement in the nation’s capital. According to reports, they will dress in matched colours on their engagement day. Parineeti will choose a subdued Indian costume by Manish Malhotra, while Raghav will wear a minimalist achkan created by his maternal uncle, fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva. Priyanka Chopra will arrive in Delhi on May 13’s morning, a source by Hindustan Times had stated.
“It will be a short trip for Priyanka. She has kept her work aside just to be there for the occasion and be there for her sister. She will be reaching Delhi on the 13th morning. Her husband Nick Jonas is not expected to accompany her, and it is yet to be seen if she brings her daughter, Malti as a surprise for the family.”
“They are not trying to keep the engagement a secret, but definitely want to keep it intimate with only family and close friends in attendance. It is a big occasion for the couple and they want to embark on the new beginning with the whole family.”
In the movie Uunchai directed by Sooraj Barjatya, Parineeti last appeared alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta, and Sarika. The upcoming films for Parineeti are Chamkila and Capsule Gill. In contrast, Raghav is a member of parliament.
