Paul Rudd is a well-known face in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In a fresh interview, he opened up about starring in the last few episodes of the sitcom comedy in which he was seen as Mike Hannigan, Phoebe Buffay’s boyfriend. Later on the duo got, making an exclusive appearance of Rudd in the Friends’ final episode. Rudd averred he ‘shouldn’t have been part of the show’ and his experience was ‘surreal’. He further stated that he is not a part of Friends WhatsApp group.
While speaking to Heart, the journalist asked Rudd, “Is there a Friends’ WhatsApp group?” He responded, “If there is, I am not on it.” A voice in the background stated, “What a shame.” The reporter added, “I am going to thank you for being in Friends because Friends still on at my house. Did you have a lot of fun doing it?”
Rudd replied on a lighter note, “Yeah I did, it was really fun and they were great. The whole thing was a bit surreal, I must say you know to be a part of that because I came on really late at the end.
“I mean you saved Phoebe basically. I..Umm. You are very kind to say that but I think you know I never knew that I was going to be in as many as I was but it also felt strange”.
He continued, “I mean I was in the last episode and I just thought, I shouldn’t be here. This is..I’m getting like a front row seats..I am not supposed to see they were all crying. It was all emotional. Yeah, cool and I was just like woah! It was really, I mean, it was I felt very privileged but I was also like, I just I don’t..I just want to sit back here and not get in the way.”
Friends is massive hit American television sitcom which broadcasted from 1994 to 2004, channelizing ten seasons. The story featured six friends, Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Ross, residing in Manhattan, New York. The series became a trendsetter in the genre of sitcoms and continues to enthrall audience even now.
