On 6 October 2022, Thursday, Brad Pitt’s lawyer retaliated with a statement that the former will continue his legal battle as a response to the countersuit filed by Angelina Jolie. Jolie threw stark allegations on Pitt that he abused her and also brutally choked their child while travelling in 2016. Responding to which his lawyer has delineated that he has taken responsibility in the due course of his actions, however few aspects of the story is faulty and untrue.
Anne Kiley, Brad’s lawyer mentioned in a statement that, “Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one — unlike the other side — but he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do. He has been on the receiving end of every type of personal attack and misrepresentation.” However, Kiley did not made it clear on which aspects of Jolie’s interpretation is legitimate and for which Pitt could be held responsible.
This official proclamation made by Pitt’s lawyer was evident after Jolie filed a lawsuit in a public court reportedly alleging Pitt of physical abuse. It read that, Pitt grabbed Jolie by her head and recklessly shook her. Thereafter he tried to choke his child. This legal battle came into being over a French winery scuffle which is owned by them.
Earlier, the Foreign Bureau of Investigation and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services conducted a series of investigation to trace some evidence against Pitt, but no action has been taken yet.
Kiley further added, “Thankfully, the various public authorities the other side has tried to use against him over the past six years have made their own independent decisions. Brad will continue to respond in court as he has consistently done.”
While Jolie’s representatives chose not to display any comment or respond to questions, on-the-record. But Jolie has come out well with her stance that she will be approaching on legal terms against Pitt and also endorsed the idea of strengthening domestic laws in the country.
The court filing reported by Jolie read, “Pitt lunged at his own child and Jolie grabbed him from behind to stop him. To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane’s seats injuring Jolie’s back and elbow. “The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face.”
