Actress Raashi Khanna, currently seen in the web series Farzi, has spoken out about her upcoming project, Yodha, which is produced by Dharma. The actor, who stars opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Yodha, spoke candidly about her character and described it as “one of those strong roles.”
In conversation with Pinkvilla, Raashi averred, “With Yodha, it is again one of the most amazing characters that I am playing. I never thought I will get such a role in a Dharma film, where it’s strong and she’s a girl. It is one of those strong roles. It’s not like aayi gaayi aur chali gayi. Of course, there are songs and everything. The film has a very good balance.”
While speaking about Sidharth, she mentioned, “Me and Sid look amazing together and I remember we both were watching and I was like ‘hum bohot ache lag rahe hai.’”
Raashi Khanna disclosed that she also discussed her desire to become a “typical” Dharma heroine who dons a saree with Karan Johar. She mentioned, “When I was growing up, films for me were glossy with women wearing saree.”
Yodha, which was co-directed by Pushka Ojha and Sagar Ambre, also features Disha Patani. The movie is scheduled to come out in September 2023.
