Rajshri Deshpande is basking with recognition and appreciation for her latest work in the Netflix original Trial by Fire featuring the story of Uphaar Fire Tragedy. She is in the garb of Neelam Krishnamoorty who, with her husband Shekhar (played by Abhay Deol), fights a two decade long litigation battle to bring justice for their children and other victims who lost their lives in the Uphaar cinema fire tragedy. On Thursday, the actor recalls the time when Shah Rukh Khan her during the severe and unprecedented times of the pandemic. She also expressed her desire to work with him in future.
The actor penned down on Twitter, “During covid @iamsrk helped me help Marathwada, Kerala & Chhattisgarh with his @MeerFoundation team. And today, @FilmCompanion mentions us together as the best performers of January! I don’t know when I’ll meet King Khan. But I’ll always dream of working with him!” Rajshri, who hails from Aurangabad in Maharashtra, had extended a helping hand for the doctors who were in need of medial supplies during the pandemic phase. Shah Rukh’s charitable organisation, Meer Foundation had offered an aid by providing essentials like PPE kits.
Fans reacted to her wish of working with Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter. Someone wrote, “I hope he hears you, he picks who he wants to work with.” Another added, “We’ll manifest for you! Good luck”. Yet another fan stated, “For the sheer talent you possess, the day is not far.”
Rajshri is also known for her roles in The Fame Game featuring Madhuri Dixit and Sacred Games. She made her film debut with a minor role in Reema Kagti’s Talaash (2012) featuring Aamir Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor. Her got her breakthrough with Pan Nalin’s Angry Indian Goddesses, 2015.
Shah Rukh Khan made a terrific comeback with Pathaan after four long years. The film served to be the fastest film to cross Rs 500 crore globally. He has Dunki and Jawan in the pipeline.
