It is an unbelievable record set up by team Mumbai as they not only get into the semi-finals with this win but also put up their names on the record books of this prestigious Ranji Trophy after having won by 725 runs.

Mumbai has won the game against Uttarakhand with the game being by far the largest win in terms of runs in a first class wicket.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s ton in the second innings along with skipper Shaw’s 72 runs in the opening partnership was unbelievably a bonus for Mumbai.

Mumbai had scored 647 runs in the first innings and it was all possible because of the super striker and fantastic debut knock played by Suved Parkar.

Suved Parkar is the hero of this game as he managed along with Armaan Jaffer came down at a crucial stage when Mumbai lost both their openers cheaply by the particular bowler Deepak Dhapola.

Since then Jaffer also played a short knock of 60 runs but Suved continued to bat until he was guided in an unfortunate run out moment.

Sarfaraz Khan also showed his iconic experience in the Ranji Trophy and smashed 153 runs with a strike rate of 74.63 (certainly close to an ODI level)

Suved Parkar’s 252 runs ended when Kunal Chandela took the final chance to rum him out.

What’s more unfortunate is that Uttarakhand could not bat well in both of their innings or let us say that Mumbai outplayed them in terms of bowling too.

Uttarakhand scored just 114 runs in the first innings with skipper Bista getting ducked out in the very first ball.

Shams Mulani had the chance to pick a fiver in the first innings of Mumbai’s bowling. The rest of the bowlers too took wickets and it was the overall teamwork to set them out in just 114 runs.

In the second innings of Uttarakhand which was certainly the last innings of the game and Uttarakhand needed almost 794 runs which looked impossible until any miracle was about to strike.

Tables were set as the fourth day ended with an early win for the Mumbaikers after they cleaned Uttarakhand up in just 69 runs (27.5 overs).

Tanush Kotian, Shams Mulani, and Dhawal Kulkarni took 3 wickets each while Mohit Avasthi took 1.

Under the captaincy of Prithvi Shaw, team Mumbai will be entering into the Semi Finals with Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The first quarter finals is yet to give us a winner again but the hopes are high on Bengal as their first innings knock of 773 runs can be a helpful miracle to get into Semi Finals.
