The name may sound familiar and defiantly when inspired by an acclaimed film ‘A Wednesday.’ You will find Yami Gautam at the helm of affairs playing a naïve young school teacher to kindergarten students who suddenly becomes the pscho hostage dealer. Though nothing like the original film, it is in the thriller genre and quite the USP because thriller movies seem to have a good run.

The story that you get to see

There are several subplots that play in the background. The main plot is held tightly by Yami, who connivingly convinces the sensitive and vulnerable and ruthless at the same time. Yami wants money and speaks with the prime minister, played by Dimple Kapadia. The other supporting cast includes Neha Dhupia playing a heavily Atul Kulkarni plays a pregnant cop and her subordinate.

A lot of the film seems unreal with the subordinate playing the same as hundred movies hamming the dialogue. Neha may have faced a bit better than Atul’s character in this movie. Dimple had the least pleasing role of being bullied by everyone from the press to even some random vigilante group vying for her blood.

Directed by Behzad Khambata, who used to be a sound director, he has got the track right in most parts of the film. But several resolved issues act like loose ends in the story. Probably calling for a spin-off or something, the film finally didn’t deliver on all accounts, yet it wasn’t hit and miss for Yami, who did show her acting chops in this film.
