News related to doctors at Kasturba hospital in New Delhi has been doing rounds on the cyberspace. It is actually a letter written in order to bring to notice that, for three months the doctors are not been paid the salaries. And now Film actress Richa Chadha has questioned for the non-payment of salaries to doctors in Delhi. She said that why they are not being paid at a time when they are risking their lives to treat patients during the deadly COVID-19 epidemic. Richa took to Twitter and wrote, ‘Why are doctors not getting salary during the biggest epidemic.
The letter that is making rounds reads ‘It is to inform that resident doctors have not been paid salary for the last three months. The doctors are serving day and night during covid -19 pandemic. Putting the lives of themselves and their family at stake. And over that we are not paid. If we are not paid salary till June 16, we will resign collectively.
Well, we must say that the letter points out the distress that the doctors are facing even after working so hard at the time of the pandemic. It also showed the demand for immediate action on the issue and gave the authorities the deadline of June 16, 2020. Richa Chadha has earlier donated funds to the rural hospital by collecting it from the fans and her friends. Thanking her fans she also posted a picture of the carton that she sent out with her and Ali Fazal’s names pasted on it.
Richa Chadda is a Bollywood actress and has worked in many films. She often talks about social topics on social media. She is also having an affair with film actor Ali Fazal and both are soon going to get married. However, due to the lockdown, both have just postponed their plans to tie the knot.
