Rishabh Pant have played sensationally well to score this mighty century against the tough Englishmen. Rishabh Pant completes his ton in just 89 balls.

The cheeky single converted into double was a “goosebump” moment for the fans awaiting Pant’s ton. But however he managed to get to the other end on time to complete his century.

Rishabh Pant was just 4 runs away from scoring his second 150 in the Test career, with 159 runs being his highest score but the six to Joe Root was the “gamble” as the next ball Rishabh Pant was forced to get an edge and the young hero had to walk back to the pavilion.

Pant has performed sensationally to score 146 runs off just 111 balls and the bowlers failed to get Rishabh out but the part-time bowler Joe Root was able to clinch the critical wicket.

    When the reporter asked :

Reporter: Were you originally coming in at six and did you swap positions with Shreyas Iyer?

    Pant: No

Reporter: You were always coming at five?

Pant: Yeah, I was always coming at five

“I was just focussing on the ball. Yes, the pressure was there because when you lose 3-4 wickets early on. You’ve got to build a partnership but at the same time, if you focus on the result, you might not get the result. I tried to focus process which gives me results most of the time.

“As a player, I try not to think about what the opposition wants to do. It’s more about what I want to do and reading the game situation,” Pant said.
