The 12th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati has recently made a comeback on the small screen. In the Karamveer Special episode of this weekend, Mohan Foundation’s founding trustee Dr. Sunil Shroff and actor Riteish Deshmukh will be seen at the hot seat.
Started in 1997, the Mohan (Multi Organ Harvesting and Network) Foundation is an organization working on the donation of organs and has been working to raise awareness about organ donation for the last two decades. Recently, Riteish has decided to donate organs along with his wife Genelia on social media platforms. On this occasion, in the Karamveer special episode of KBC, Dr. Shroff and Riteish will be seen supporting organ donation, which can give the gift of life to any needy.
Riteish Deshmukh, who is supporting this campaign, also told what inspired him to take a big decision of organ donation. Ritesh said, “We (Genelia and Ritesh) have been thinking about organ donation for the last few years. During this lockdown we got time to think about what we should do. Unfortunately we did not have much information about organ donation. We did not know where to go and what to do for this process.’
He further added, “I have given up non-veg, black coffee and gas-rich drinks. I want to keep my body healthy, and when it is my turn to donate my organs, people should say that ‘I left my healthy body on the go”. Shroff appreciated him very much.
