On Tuesday, August 15, Sergei Shoigu, the Russian minister of defence, asserted that Ukraine’s military capabilities were “almost exhausted”.
During a security conference in Moscow, Shoigu added: “Despite comprehensive assistance from the West, Ukraine’s armed forces are unable to achieve results.”
“Preliminary results of the hostilities show that Ukraine’s military resources are almost exhausted,” he added.

The Russian defence minister claimed that Western weaponry had “nothing special” and were susceptible to Russian weapons on the battlefield. Speaking at the Moscow Conference on International Security, according to reports, was Shoigu. Western nations were not included in Russia’s invitation to more than 100 delegations.
In recent weeks, Ukraine asserted that its counteroffensive was in progress and that, despite persistent Russian strikes, the country was making progress on all fronts. However, there are some obvious snags. In the meanwhile, the US declared that Ukraine will get $200 million in additional ammunition, air defences, and anti-mine equipment.

After making a calculation error while determining the costs for some weapons, the Pentagon disclosed in June that it had an additional $6.2 billion to distribute to Ukraine than it had expected. He examined military hardware from Iran, China, and India during the Army-2023 military expo held close to Moscow.

Shoigu was shown replicas of Chinese armoured vehicles by Chinese representatives, as well as the Wing Loong-2 (WL-2) drone. Unmanned aerial vehicles, guided missiles, and missile systems were exhibited, according to TASS.
