Shocking news made waves as the Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his house in Bandra in the early Thursday. Late in the night at 2 am, an unidentified intruder entered the actor’s home and stabbed him in an aggressive argument. Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra at 3:30 AM, where he is currently being treated.
What really Happened?
From the first reports, it has emerged that the attacker entered into Saif’s house and scuffled with the housemaid. According to the reports there was attempt to fight when Saif tried to intervene, and the intruder took a sharp weapon and attacked Saif. The actor was stabbed 6 times, two of which were severe and one was less than an inch near his spine. Dr. Lilavati Hospital’s chief operating officer, Niraj Uttamani, said that neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange together with cosmetic surgeon Dr Leena Jain is treating Saif.
Investigation Underway
The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has launched a full-scale investigation into the incident. Seven specialized teams are working on the case and they appointed encounter specialist officer Mr. Daya Nayak. The shocking part is that the CCTV footage recorded two hours before the attack, and it shows no one arrived at the house. This made the investigators believe that the attacker might have been inside the house of the attack. Police are interviewing household staff to understand if they knew the intruder or if there was an argument earlier.

The attack has shocked Bollywood. Saif’s children Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan along with many stars have been captured visiting him at the hospital. Siddharth Anand another director who has worked with Saif in Salaam Namaste was also present in the hospital along with his wife. Actor Jr. NTR, who recently worked with Saif in Devara, expressed his concern on social media, stating: “Shocked and saddened to hear about the attack on Saif sir.
