Bollywood diva Sara Ali Khan, who has been instrumental in delivering good films have recently advocated for the ‘No Shame Movement’. The actor visited and interacted with the students of Miranda House College, Delhi University to extend support for young girls who fall prey to no-consensual share of their images on the republic forum.

IAS officer and actor Abhishek Singh accompanied the former while rooting for this social cause for girls whose pictures have been posted without their consent.

The program was initiated by the United by Blood organization in association with NSS and the Department of Chemistry under Miranda House College. The actors also focused upon the mental state and post trauma which is faced by the victims.

Kiren Rijjiju, the Minister of Law and Justice, was highly impressed with the interaction of the actors. He took to Twitter and posted the pictures of the meet-up. He wrote, “I’m happy that popular actor @SaraAliKhan has volunteered to join “No Shame Movement” with young IAS officer @Abhishek_asitis and team, a step to support young girls who are victims of “Non-consensual image sharing”. We are witnessing a rise in such cases amongst students.”

Coincidentally, Sara’s grandmother Rukhsana Sultana was an alumna of the college. The actor also shared a sneak peak in which she was heard saying, “Thank you very much for having me. The introduction about my family given by them did not mention that my maternal grandmother used to study in this college only.”
