Richa Chadda and Ali Fazal always kept silence about their love story. They met on the set of the film ‘Fukrey’ in 2012. In the cover shoot of Brides Today in the July 2020 addition, the two actors finally revealed their love story.
Tallking to the magazine, Richa told about the first time that she knew it was love. Sh said, “We were watching the Chaplin film at my home – the 1992 American biographical comedy drama featuring Robert Downey Jr. I was happy to see Ali enjoying the film and was thinking that someone’s choice is exactly like mine. That’s when I told him, “You really are sweet, I love you.” It took Ali three months to tell me about his love.”
When asked how Ali proposed to Richa, Richa said, “Ali had planned a romantic dinner on a small secluded island in the Maldives. I thought it was for my birthday, I did not doubt anything. We had finished eating and were sipping champagne, when Ali himself got comfortable and asked me to marry him. Neither did he sit on his knees, nor did he had a ring in his hand, but all was well. He then took a 10-minute nap on the sand – I think it was because he was stressed about the proposal! “
Richa further says, our couple is committed to life with a simple promise in every ups and downs. Richa said Javed Akhtar’s iconic line, “Our friendship is so sure that even marriage didn’t spoil it.”
