    Shocking: Director Karan Johar May Resign From MAMI Board

    After being severely trolled due to the unfortunate demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Karan Johar may resign MAMI, (Mumbai Academy of Moving Image)

    After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, The nepotism and politics in Bollywood are also being considered responsible behind Sushant’s suicide. There is an ongoing debate on this topic. Midst of this , director Karan johar was targetted. Sushant’s fans accused Karan of promoting nepotism and he started getting trolled fiercely. 

    According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Karan is saddened that no person from the industry came forward to help him when he was being trolled on social media. Nobody supported him. He said. Upset with his fraternity for not standing by his side he has decided to quit from the board of MAMI film festival. MAMI’s panel consists of Vikramaditya Motwane, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Zoya Akhtar, and Kabir Khan. It’s been reported that Deepika Padukone is trying to convince him.

    Karan Johar Regrets

    Sushant committed suicide at his home in Mumbai on 14 June. After which entire industry was shocked. People claimed that the actor was brilliant and cannot do something like this.  But the initial police investigation revealed that he was under depression for six months, which was also being treated. Meanwhile, Karan Johar had expressed regret that he had not been in contact with Sushant for a year. The words posted by him show concern about this matter and how much he was deeply affected.

    Sushant worked in Karan’s production film Drive, which was released on Netflix. This film can be considered Sushant’s last release film. However, his last release in theaters was Chhichhore.
