He was seen urging state governments to reconsider and enhance the monthly pension provided to people with disabilities.
In the video, he is sitting alongside Dharmendra, a person with a disability from Bihar. Sonu empathetically discusses the financial challenges that the disabled community faces. He also highlighted the inadequacy of the current monthly pension ₹400 in meeting their expenses. He appeals to the Bihar government and other concerned authorities to raise the monthly pension to a minimum of ₹1,000 or more.
In the caption, Sonu expresses his New Year resolution with a red heart and folded hands emojis, stating, “RIGHTS FOR THE DISABLED.” And also tagged the Instagram account of Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, in the caption. He humbly requested the authorities to revise and increase the basic gratuity and minimum pension for individuals with disabilities, emphasizing the need to prioritize their challenges.
