Patna police officer SP Vinay Tiwari was quarantined by BMC for 14 days. After he reached Mumbai to proceed with further investigations. Here’s what the officer replied on this.
After Sushant Singh’s father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna, Bihar Police has been trying to investigate the case. For this IPS officer, Vinay Tiwari was sent to Mumbai to probe Sushant’s death case. But after he arrived he was quarantined for 14 days. The reason that was given for him to be kept in isolation was that the State Government for domestic air travelers has given some guidelines in wake of the COVID 19 outbreak in the country. And therefore we have quarantined him.
After the incident surfaced BMC authorities in Mumbai have been getting repeated requests to release Bihar Superintendent of Police Vinay Tiwari was who was “forcibly” quarantined after reaching Mumbai to proceed with the investigations related to Sushant’s death case. But the BMC has refused to do so. They have also asked the Bihar officials to investigate the case through a digital platform. SP Tiwari had also reacted to BMC’s decision and said “BMC’s move is unfair and unfortunate, it is a denial of my legal rights.”
After the refusal to release S.P Vinay Tiwari came from BMC. Bihar Government has decided to move to court. The report also stated that they might most likely approach the apex court for the same. Let us tell you that Bihar and Mumbai cops have been running a parallel investigation in this case. However, it seems that Mumbai police is not cooperating as it has refused to hand over any document to them saying that they do not have any jurisdiction in the case.
