The Empire started in Star Wars with an army made up of clones. But that was gradually replaced by human troops. Today tell you why and how that happened.

Replacing the clones
Shortly after the Clone Wars, Kamino’s factories were shut down. As a result, there was only 1 new generation of clone troops that could be trained.
Part of the reason behind this was the cost of creating clones. Moreover, large-scale battles were no longer fought. Since the clones got old faster, they also got too old to fight with.
In that regard, the Empire could hardly help but replace them. At the same time, replacing clone troops was also a way to quell the risk of uprisings. For many people in the Outer Rim, it was a way to get out of poverty, and besides, planets that many people served in the military were also less likely to be insurgents.
So replacing the clones also served as a way for the Empire to reduce the risk of uprisings.
