Being thrown into the middle of a murder investigation as a hesitant police officer, this rookie is forced to face his worst fears in order to solve the crime. Ashok Selvan, R. Sarathkumar, and Sunil Sukhada play major parts in the Vignesh Raja and T. Senthil Paramasivam-directed movie.
Thunivu – Netflix
The plot of this crime action thriller revolves around a high-stakes bank robbery. The motivations for the robbery remain unknown until the very end, keeping watchers hooked to the screen. K. Vinoth directed the film, which included Ajith Kumar’s flawless action sequences.
Varisu – Amazon Prime Video
In the battle of blockbusters, Varisu shared the box office lead with Thanivu. The film is a great blend of humour and drama. The plot centres around Muthuvel Pandiyan, a former jailer who embarks on a relentless search for his son’s assailants.
Viduthalai Part 1 – ZEE5
This action-packed criminal thriller portrays a determined police officer’s dogged pursuit of the head of a separatist gang. This is one of the Tamil films of 2023 that stands out, set in 1980s India and influenced by a Na Muthukumar poem. The film, directed by Vetrimaaran, stars Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, and Bhavani Sre.
Vaathi – Netflix
The film is about Balamurugan, a junior professor who takes on educational organisations that profit at the expense of pupils and has a gripping tale, fantastic character, and an incredible music. The film is directed by Venky Atluri and stars Dhanush and Samyuktha Menon. This film blends action with a powerful message and has a novel narrative in the Tamil cinema landscape.
